Aloha ʻohana. Father's Day lands on Sunday, June 21 this year, and it shares the date with the summer solstice, the longest, brightest day of the year. That feels exactly right to me. The papas, uncles, and tūtū kāne in our lives carry so much, and there is something sweet about honoring them on the day Maui leans all the way into summer.

A gentle reminder from our shoreline
Summer is honu season. Sea turtle nesting runs through September on our beaches, so if the keiki spot a honu this weekend, stay back at least 10 feet, keep dogs leashed, and admire from a distance. Our honu are protected, and they are counting on us to share the sand with care.
