Mother's Day Gifts from Maui: A Keiki-Clothing Gift Guide for the Mamas in Your Life
Share
Mother's Day lands on Sunday, May 10, 2026. If you're reading this, you're probably thinking about how to celebrate the mama, grandmama, auntie, or friend who shows up a hundred small ways a day. I've been drawing and sewing Pink Loke from my studio on Maui for years now, and every spring I put together a little guide of the pieces that tend to land especially well this time of year. Soft, organic, hand-drawn. Made for the kind of love that doesn't need a lot of fuss.
Here's what I'd pick for the mamas in your ohana this year.
Before you scroll: how to get yours in time
- Hawaii orders: place yours by Friday, May 8 for the best shot at delivery before Mother's Day.
- Local Maui pickup: come see me at the Maui Swap Meet on Saturday, May 9, from 7 am to 1 pm. I'll help you pick something, wrap it with a hand-drawn card, and send you home ready.
- Free shipping on orders over $100 (pairing a swaddle + dress + headband usually gets you there).
- Mainland mama? Standard shipping won't make it by Sunday, but a swaddle or dress still arrives sweet a few days late with a hand-drawn card. Mamas understand.

1. For the new mama: the Muslin Swaddle Blanket ($32)
A swaddle is the single hardest-working piece of fabric in a new mama's life. Buttery-soft organic muslin, open weave, breathable in the Hawaii heat, warm enough for a cool evening. The first year, it's a swaddle. The second year, it's a stroller cover, a nursing drape, a tummy-time mat, a shade pull on the beach. My kids still drag theirs around and they're long past swaddling age.
Our muslin swaddles come in two hand-drawn prints:
- Hibiscus in Bloom: my signature pink-and-green hibiscus sketch
- Jungle Iwa: a little tropical story with iwa birds weaving through foliage
If you're shopping for a mama you don't know well, this is the safest-landing gift on the site. Nobody has too many swaddles.
2. For the twirl-a-day keiki: the Everyday Dress (from $29.40)
The Everyday Dress is exactly what the name says. It's the dress I would want my own daughter wearing to brunch, to a beach picnic, to her cousin's first luau, and then home into a nap. Organic cotton that's soft against sensitive skin, a generous cut so it lasts more than one season, and zero scratchy tags or exposed seams.
Available in:
- Hibiscus in Bloom ($42)
- Sweet Orchid Meadow ($42)
- Pink Loke ($29.40), my most-forgiving color for hand-me-downs
If a mama in your life has a little girl under 6, this is the photo-op dress. Mother's Day morning, twirl on the lawn, done.
3. The little add-on: the Bow Headband ($15)
I always recommend pairing a dress with a matching Bow Headband. Same hand-drawn prints (Hibiscus in Bloom, Sweet Orchid Meadow), sweet little finishing touch that makes everything photo-ready. It's the gift that makes a gift feel like a gift. And at $15, it bumps your swaddle-and-dress order right over the free-shipping line.
4. For the baby on the way: the Long-Sleeved Zipper Romper ($38)
If you're shopping for an expecting mama, a zipper romper is the practical, generous choice. Middle-of-the-night diaper changes are so much easier with a zipper than a row of snaps, and she will think of you every time she zips one. Organic cotton inside and out.
Available in four of my favorite hand-drawn prints:
- Anuenue & Friends (rainbow + island creatures)
- Jungle Iwa
- Twinkling Fern
- Hibiscus in Bloom
Pair one with a Muslin Swaddle in a matching print for a new-mama gift set that feels considered without feeling over the top.
5. For the mama who sleeps in (or wants to): the Pajama Set (from $28)
Our two-piece long-sleeve pajama sets have been quietly one of our most-gifted pieces. Cozy, soft, breathable, and just a little bit of hand-drawn magic to wear at bedtime.
- Pink Loke ($28), our most affordable set, subtle and sweet
- Birds of Hawaii ($40)
Pair with a board book and you have a "slow down, mama" gift bundle for a bedtime routine she'll actually look forward to.
A little about how these pieces are made
Every print on a Pink Loke piece started as a doodle in my sketchbook. A hibiscus I walked past on a hike up Iao Valley. A honu I spotted at the shoreline off Makena. A pattern in the tide pools at low tide. I draw everything by hand because each one tells a little piece of our island's story, and I want your keiki to feel connected to this place when they wear it.
We use GOTS-certified organic cotton because it's gentle on sensitive baby skin and kind to our ʻāina. Every piece is designed right here on Maui, and I personally pick every print, every color, every finishing detail.
Three easy gift bundles
If you want a fast answer, here are three bundles I'd build today:
The New Mama Bundle (about $70)
Muslin Swaddle Blanket + Long-Sleeved Zipper Romper in matching prints. Everything she needs for those first weeks, wrapped up thoughtfully.
The Photo-Ready Bundle (about $85)
Everyday Dress + Bow Headband + Muslin Swaddle. Mother's Day morning magic, plus a keepsake swaddle for years to come.
The Slow-Down Bundle (about $70)
Pajama Set + Muslin Swaddle + a quiet moment to herself. Because mamas deserve rest too.
Whatever you choose, know that you're giving more than a piece of clothing. You're giving a little piece of Maui, drawn by hand, made with care, and wrapped in the kind of love that shows up in the small things.
